In 1954, with the stroke of a pen, this group of 490 American Indian's would no longer be American Indian according to a law passed by Congress. That law is know as the "Ute Partition Act."

These links contain the name's, gender, age, and birth date of those Ute's of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation of Utah that was complied on April 5, 1956 and presented to the Secretary of the Department of the Interior on August 27, 1956 who were slated to be terminated according to the Ute Partition Act of 1954.
